  We were here on August 8, 2017. I have to say the guy working at the flumes was awesome. Very friendly and helpful. We found some decent stones. However, the place was open until 4 pm and when we took our stones in for identification at 3:30 the two girls working behind the counter were already counting the registers. The girl who "identified" our stones was very impersonal to the point of rudeness. She seemed very annoyed and to be going through the motions only because she had to. I'm not sure she even made eye contact with me. She could have been reciting lines from memory. Sad because this could be a decent place but service like that makes me not want to ever return.

  Best place to stop, shop, or experience hunting for gemstones! We tried other mines in the area only to end up filthy and exhausted. This place was clean, easy, educational, and fun! Our buckets were loaded with many stones, and we even had jewelry made from some of them! The family had been in business for over 30 years, and by far gave us the best opportunity to find and experience the thrill of gemstone hunting. We had some stones cut and jewelry made right there! Am looking forward to a chance to go back! Definitely a good Bucket List item!

  We love visiting here. The staff is friendly and helpful. They treat you like family. They are very knowledgeable about the gem stones. It's always a great experience!
